As an Uyghur Chinese American, I've felt the keen sting of cultural erasure. Yet, in art, I found a voice. If beauty and possibilities can be created in my bedrooms wall doodles and taken to larger audiences, I believe there are more stories I can tell. I bring with me past lessons, present aspirations, and future hopes.
